A Personal Invitation to a High Level, Business-Building Gathering of the Open-Hearted, Conscious Speakers, Writers and Trainers
Dear Friend,
You - and a number of others who you can see at the bottom of this page - are invited to an intimate gathering coming up at the end of January (seriously - scroll down to see who's in and who's still on the fence).
If you're reading this letter then you're being invited because you fit a few important criteria:
1) You're an influential 'thought leader': meaning you're not just rehashing old ideas. You're constantly thinking, evolving and pushing the envelope in your industry.
2) You're not in it just for yourself: You're not in this game to become a 'guru' or 'get rich' or famous. At the end of the day, you're interested in bigger shifts in the world. You want to see more environmental sanity, you want more social justice and less suffering. You want to see a world where people are encouraged to express themselves just as they are.
3) You value integrity deeply: You've probably made some sacrifices in your business career and turned down opportunities because they 'didn't feel right', weren't in integrity and because there were other paths that actually made a bigger contribution to people and the planet.
4) You're fun: In my experience, you don't take yourself too seriously (even if you take your work seriously).
5) You're open minded: You're already pretty smart about your business - but you're also someone who is always curious and open minded about new ideas & potential collaborations. Know it alls are not invited to this party.
6) You're no spring chicken: You've been in the business long enough to have a well developed social media infrastructure and you have a loyal following established.
Imagine this . . .
You wake up at 8am and look out your windows at the snow covered rocky mountains.
You enjoy a relaxed waking up with no big responsibilities at all and trundle down to breakfast.
Sitting across the table from you, separated only by a cup of the best fair trade coffee you've had in ages, is that blogger you've followed for years but never met in person. Sitting next to you is someone who's totally figured out how to do that social media thing you've always wanted to do. And on the other side is someone who's worked out a secret to filling up workshops like nobodies business.
You enjoy a rich conversation with them and then you hear a little bell and you all head over to the meeting room where you sit in a circle with twenty other inspiring luminaries and enjoy a round of introductions - with each person somehow bringing something important and unique to the room. The day is spent in meaningful and useful conversations rather than listening to speaker after speaker after speaker.
You stay up far too late that night scheming on ways you can colloborate and making notes of all the cool and easy things you can do to grow your business when you get home.
The end result we hope for?
The Evolutionary Business Council (EBCouncil) is an invitation-only event where I am gathering some of the savviest, most leading-edge conscious entrepreneurs I know for a weekend of masterminding, learning from each other - and supporting each other wherever it's a fit.
Our hope is that you can grow your influence, build your mastermind groups, and create lifelong business relationships (and maybe even friendships) with other thought leaders who want to make a difference.
If you take a look at who's coming, I think you'll agree there's a good chance this will happen.
Our specific hopes and intentions are that you will:
- gain powerful alliances with others who are commited to teaching business and success principles;
- compare and learn about powerful techniques other trainers, speakers and authors are using to grow their reach, including both traditional and social media;
- have the opportunity to "sit on the hot seat" having the room brainstorm how to help you meet your immediate goals;
- have a safe environment in which to expand your knowledge of the success principles and work on personal blocks that may be stopping you.
- as an invited guest, have the opportunity to learn more about and join the Evolutionary Business Council in a more long term way if that feels like a fit for you
This one and a half day event begins Friday evening with a shared meal and formally ends Saturday at 5. We encourage you to stick around and recreate in the mountains on the Sunday as we will also be informally organizing groups for some fun activities. The event cost includes your meals and coffee for Friday evening, Saturday breakfast and lunch. Accommodation can be booked separately through the Radisson in Canmore. We are encouraging attendees to consider sharing a room with another attendee to get to know one new person at a stronger level.
